Makhana is also known as FOX NUTS/LOTUS SEEDS/GORGEOS NUTS. It is an aquatic crop/fruit, grown in stagnant water without support of any fertilizer, chemicals, pesticides etc. NATURALLY ORGANIC. Since found in roots of LOTUS FLOWER – It is also called as LOTUS SEEDS – an another form of MAA LAXMI, consider to be very auspicious and used in PRASAD/HAWAN SAMAGRI, FASTING etc. Superior than any other dry fruits.
